Chiara Raineri nasce e vive a Verona. Si laurea in scenografia all’Accademia Nazionale di Brera e si specializza in illustrazione presso la Scuola Internazionale di Illustrazione di Sarmede e presso la scuola d’illustrazione Ars in Fabula di Macerata. 

Insegna illustrazione all’Istituto Design Palladio a Verona ed è un’atelierista del progetto Disegnare il Futuro finanziato dalla fondazione San Zeno per cui progetta e realizza laboratori artistici nelle scuole. Le sue illustrazioni sono state selezionate al concorso “Il bambino spettatore” promosso dalla Bologna Children’s Book Fair nel 2019, 2020, 2022.

Nel 2019 è tra gli illustratori del libro Cento Gianni Rodari. Cento storie e filastrocche. Cento illustratori, Einaudi ragazzi.

Nel 2021 pubblica Un po’ più che amici (Bacchilega Junior) di cui è autrice e illustratrice.

Nel 2022 è protagonista della mostra PALCOSCENICI DI CARTA. IL MONDO DELLO SPETTACOLO NEI LIBRI PER RAGAZZI, organizzata dalla BCBF dall’8 al 19 marzo 2022 presso la  Libreria per ragazzi Giannino Stoppani di Bologna.

Nel 2022 realizza testo e illustrazioni per l’albo Piccola pantera edito da Camelozampa ed esce in Francia Ma maison à moi per l’editore Rue du monde con il testo di Sarah Zambello.

A maggio 2023 l’albo Piccola pantera vince il Premio Nati per Leggere nella categoria 18-36 mesi e riceve la menzione speciale “primo albo” al Premio Nicolò Bettoni per l’albo illustrato.

A settembre 2023 pubblica in Francia Imagine que petite panthère per Rue du monde (la versione italiana dal titolo Pensa se è in uscita nella primavera 2024).

Chiara Raineri was born and lives in Verona. She graduated in scenography from the Brera National Academy and specialized in illustration at the International School of Illustration in Sarmede and at the Ars in Fabula illustration school in Macerata.

She teaches illustration at the Istituto Design Palladio in Verona and she is an artist of the “Disegnare il Futuro project” funded by the San Zeno foundation. Her illustrations were selected in the contest “The children spectators” promoted by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2019, 2020 and 2022. In 2019 she was one of the illustrators of the book Cento Gianni Rodari. Cento storie e filastrocche. Cento illustratori (Einaudi Ragazzi).

In 2021 she published Un po’ più che amici (Bacchilega Junior), as author and illustrator.

In 2022 she was selected for the PALCOSCENICI DI CARTA exhibition. THE WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT IN CHILDREN’S BOOKS, organized by the BCBF from 8 to 19 March 2022 at the Giannino Stoppani children’s bookshop in Bologna.

In 2022 she created text and illustrations for Piccola pantera published by Camelozampa and she illustrated Ma maison à moi for the publisher Rue du monde (France).

In 2023 her book Piccola pantera won the Premio Nati per Leggere in the 18-36 months category and received special mention at the Premio Nicolò Bettoni for illustrated books.

In september 2023 she published Imagine que petite panthère in France for Rue du monde (the Italian version Pensa se will be published in spring 2024).
